Every person indexed on the Findem platform has complete control of their privacy settings. Individuals always retain the ability to change or delete their information as well as unsubscribe from campaigns.

We have successfully completed a Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) audit with a third-party evaluator certified by The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). This audit uses the Trust Services Principles, published by the AICPA, to evaluate the effectiveness of a service organization’s controls.
We collaborate with third-party sources to enrich our automated data aggregation with a diverse range of additional information.

What are ‘attributes’?

An attribute is a distinguishing skill, experience or quality that is an inherent part of someone’s person. 

Attributes can be tangible, such as whether someone is an ‘open source contributor’, ‘past founder’, ‘female’, ‘has a PhD’ or ‘builds diverse teams’, as well as intangible, such as whether someone has ‘entrepreneurial spirit’, ‘embodies the company values’ or is a ‘go-getter’.  

Searching for people used to be based on a set of keywords applied to user-defined resumes. This process is limited and inaccurate, as only 8% of resumes are filled out with the right set of searchable keywords. With Findem, this limitation no longer exists. You can search for people based on their attributes, rather than keywords.  

Our library of 1M+ attributes are formed from people data and are the building blocks of People Intelligence. They offer a holistic, data-informed picture of each individual that can be used, for example, to surface unbiased insights into individuals or teams, benchmark against competitors, and identify high-quality, diverse talent with the exact attributes you need to fill your talent gaps.

What data do you collect?

Findem only aggregates publicly available people data, such as a person’s name, job title and work experience, which is verified across multiple sources. We can enrich this data if our customers choose to integrate their internal HR tools with Findem. We do not collect or share sensitive information such as browser history, health or financial information, or any other information about a person in a family or household capacity.

How do you collect your data?

We collect data using our proprietary people search engine and our partnerships with third-party integrations. We index, triangulate and verify all collected people data through multiple sources.

How do you ensure compliance with data privacy laws?

We employ an internal team dedicated to proactively monitoring our data and research practices to ensure our activities align with all relevant data protection and privacy laws, such as the GDPR and CCPA. If at any point an individual wishes to have their information removed from Findem’s database, they may do so via our privacy policy. 

How do you enforce user privacy?

Since we deliver interview-ready candidates, any individual can opt out of interactions with any company through the Findem platform and enforce their privacy settings. The moment a candidate withdraws their consent to be contacted by a company using Findem, or asks for their data to be deleted or changed, Findem applies this withdrawal of consent to activities from all recruiters at that company. This means recruiters are only able to interact with consented candidates and companies can centralize their privacy enforcement mechanisms. 

Is candidate data collected by Findem externally searchable?

No. We are a People Intelligence platform that enables talent attribute matching, not a people browsing platform.

Is my company’s internal data kept private?

Yes. Your data is accessible only by you. Protecting our customers’ data is our top priority.

Does Findem integrate with my company’s internal data?

A talent attribute is a distinguishing quality or characteristic that is an inherent part of someone’s person or experience. 

Other platforms only allow you search by user-defined resumes and a limited set of keywords that force you to define talent reductively. Findem allows you to enrich your insights and extend your searches with intangible attributes such as “loyal employee” or “entrepreneurial spirit”.

Findem aggregates publicly available people data, which is verified and triangulated across multiple sources, only for the purpose of recording and learning attributes. We can enrich this data and discover new attributes if our customers choose to integrate their internal HR tools with Findem. We do not collect or share sensitive information such as browser history, health or financial information, or any other information about a person in a family or household capacity.

How do you collect your data?

Findem uses raw data (such as profile, company, financial, census and other data) to learn and create attributes for every person. We do not store this raw data. We store attributes securely in a Findem-managed private cloud.
